AB The paper describes the results of research among students at Palacky University in Olomouc, whose relationship to chemistry was investigated by questionnaire. During the research activity, two different groups of respondents were examined and compared. First group of respondents included the students of chemistry and the second one included students that does not have chemistry as a main focus during their study at university. The research was mainly focused on whether students use gained chemistry knowledge in their everyday life.
